Dog Spaw offers self-serve pet bathing and grooming

Dog Spaw is a self-service facility which enables you to thoroughly bathe your pet without all of the mess that may occur either indoors or outdoors at your residence.

Owned and established by Aymen Hossino, Dog Spaw opened on MacCorkle Avenue in Kanawha City approximately two years ago. It has since won the resounding praise and repeat business of numerous dog owners throughout the Kanawha Valley.

In design and practice, Dog Spaw is a canine-catering cousin of a car wash or coin-operated laundry. At any of the three stalls at Dog Spaw, pet owners can purchase eight minutes of washing time for just $5 (with additional time available for more money) to scrub and scour their dogs with a variety of shampoos, rinses and conditioners to select from (or bring your own), as well as a dryer to fluff and finish the job.

Plus, if yours is a multi-dog household, you can tackle and tidy up the whole pack under one woof -- er,  roof  -- for added convenience.

Professional groomer Wendy "Tiger" Sasko is also available, by appointment only, to beautify your pet with what she calls "the whole nine yards" of services, including hair and nails, built on her 30 years of experience.

Dog Spaw is located at 3330 MacCorkle Avenue, S.E., in Kanawha City, across from the former Watt Powell Park site. It is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day of the week.

For more information or to make a grooming appointment with Sasko, call Dog Spaw at 720-8333.
